Learn The way to Replace your Printer's Ink Cartridge

Stuck at printing something? Is your printer already out of ink? Rather than having somebody else to replace your printer's ink cartridge for you, why not do it yourself? It is a quite straightforward task to accomplish. Here are steps on the way to replace your printer's ink cartridge.

Before you really do the actual task of replacing the ink cartridge, ensure that there's a need. There's a requirement for you to replace your ink cartridge. Determine which cartridge you need to replace. One sure way of doing this is by checking the ink level of your cartridge. You can do this by checking the ink cartridges. Don't be confused by your PC screen's ink level alerts.

After you have checked your printer's ink level, start the actual task of changing your ink cartridge by opening the part of your printer where the cartridge is situated. For most printers it's often on the right side of the printer. After opening it the carriage will move itself to the right portion of the printer so it is not extraordinarily difficult to locate it.

If you already know the location of the cartridge, you can then turn your printer off.

Remove the old cartridge by pressing it down from the carriage. There are more printer models where you can find levers to release the cartridge from the carriage; all you've got to do is to locate that lever.

You're now ready to replace the cartridge with a newer one. Before placing your new cartridge, ensure that the protective sticker is already removed, and don't touch the cartridge's insertion slot.

Place the cartridge in place with the label facing up within the carriage. Make certain that you hear a clicking sound to ensure that it is correctly placed. For those printers that have levers, push the lever to hold the cartridge in effect. If you need to replace more than one cartridge, slid them into place one at a time.

After placing the cartridge in the carriage, place the printer's cover back in place and turn the printer on.

Check if you have successfully replaced your cartridge by taking a look at the LCD, if it sends a message that there is no cartridge, then that suggests that you have to repeat the method till you printer will recognise the new cartridge.

After you've successfully replaced your old ink cartridge with another one, you are now ready to print. Attempt to print some pages to check the standard of the new ink cartridge.

Changing your printer's ink cartridges isn't a difficult thing to do, it something you can do on your own. All you've got to do is to get to know your printer so that you would be comfortable in placing and replacing its numerous parts.
