The Way That Cloud Solutions Are Utilized By End Users

By Sarah Belina

The most common of cloud solutions used by end users today is email. Web based mail has become so commonplace that it is difficult to think of it as a very important example of how this new form of computing affects the end user too. Most of the elements of email are free, although there are elements that can be paid for too.

This brings us to the most common advantage. It gives us all access to free services like free electronic mail. Of course, the advantages spread out from there to much larger and complex ones, some unique to a very small group of users. Tools like the Google apps, for example, are used everyday to create files like spreadsheets, calendars and for presentations.

Other exciting and new features are available too. There are some tools like SlideRocket which have made the process of report creating and spreadsheet making fast and easy. The cost of all these features have brought things down to a price that is manageable to most users.

New solutions continue to crop up every year. An application that compares prices in the Amazon cloud, for example, was created recently. This is just another example of how these services can be used to the aid of many different users.

Another wonderful example of its application is the element of photo sharing. There are sites that have been used for years to do this. These include services like Picasa and Flickr. They are used everyday to send photographs of holidays, business trips and other memorable events. They also help to relieve storage spaces in devices with limited storage.

The cloud solutions go well beyond that too. Not only are is there a solution for things like photo sharing or document creation, there also are new features like music, game and video download and sharing. All these, of course, are geared towards coming up with creative ways of helping users to have new and advanced ways of changing their technological lives.
